We have an extensive range of tours suitable for all year levels. At the Otway Fly treetop walk we are dedicated to sustainable Environmental tourism. As part of our commitment, we have developed a quality range of education programs to assist students in learning more about the history, diversity and the changing attitudes towards forests of the Otway ranges.
The Otway Fly treetop walk is a major tourist attraction in the Otway Ranges and Great Ocean Road tourist region. Situated in a combination of wet sclerophyll and cool temperate rainforest, the Otway Fly provides the students with great opportunity to see the diversity of an Australian forest.
The Otway Fly is the longest and tallest steel structured canopy walk in the world. Students get a thrill climbing the 47mt spiral tower into the tree canopy and walking out on the rocking cantilever.
Forest ecology, logging history, plant and animal identification, looking after the environment, bush foods and sustainable tourism are incorporated into each program. All programs have the option of pre or post visit materials including worksheets, fact sheets and activities.
A visit to the Otway Fly can be incorporated into a school camp or as a day visit.
We have developed a variety of educational programs for various year levels. We can also tailor a program to suit your requirements. Pre and Post information is also available. Each program is approximately 1-1.5 hrs in duration. Additional programs are also available.
